AFTERCARE

INITIAL HEALING

Leave the second skin bandage on for 3 to 5 days. It is normal for fluid (plasma, ink, and blood) to collect under the bandage. If the bandage leaks or the edges peel back to expose the tattoo, remove it immediately.

REMOVAL & CLEANING

Remove the bandage in the shower under warm running water. Gently pull the film parallel to your skin rather than peeling it straight up. Wash the tattoo gently but thoroughly with unscented antibacterial soap and your fingertips. Do not use a washcloth or sponge.

MOISTURIZING

After washing, pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel. Apply a very thin layer of an unscented, water-based lotion or a tattoo-specific aftercare product. Repeat this process 2-3 times a day for the next two weeks.

WHAT TO AVOID

  • Do not scratch, pick, or peel the healing tattoo.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for at least 3-4 weeks.
  • No swimming, hot tubs, or soaking in baths until fully healed.
  • Avoid tight clothing that may rub against the tattoo.
